The story begins with the Indus Civilisation,which endured for a thousand years between 2500 and 1500 BC.This is followed by the composition of the Vedas, the oldest religious literature in the Indo-European language by the Aryan immigrants which eventually led to the evolution of an all-embracing and holistic worldview.Finally,on the full-moon day of the lunar month of Vaisakha (April-May), Siddhartha loosely meaning "child of destiny'-the future Buddha was born.
